A Life Transformed by Running
Sheryl is an ACE-Certified personal trainer, group fitness instructor, and running coach. A 50 year old mother of 4 adult children and grandmother to 1, she is an accomplished ultra-endurance athlete inspiring others through her lifestyle of plant based nutrition, mindful movement and graceful aging.
A resident of Brighton for over 26 years, Sheryl has worked with hundreds of members in the community assisting people of all ages in discovering their own power of living a healthier, stronger and happier life.
Sheryl became a certified personal trainer in 2005, which was also the year she ran her first marathon. Crossing the finish line in Detroit with her children cheering her on was one of the toughest and most emotional and rewarding moments of her life. It was then that Sheryl became hooked on running; especially running the marathon distance.
She has since completed over 45 marathons, including 3 Boston Marathons. In 2014 Sheryl made a drastic change in her life by adopting a whole foods, plant-based diet. This was also the same year she completed her first 100 mile ultra-marathon.
With the power of plants and a dedicated training routine she has gone on to complete seven 100 mile runs and even set a personal record at the marathon distance. She is a living example of the results that can be achieved through hard work and proper nutrition.
